Hi, I'm glad you find the training materials interesting. Telstra has actually had this package hosted on our internal Learning Management System for quite a few months now - the version that is hosted on our exchange and youtube sites was only made available to the public in late December. Around 14,000 staff have completed the course so far, with excellent feedback.

You can find more information here http://exchange.telstra.com.au/2009/12/17/telstra-launches-interactive-3rs-social-media-learning-module/

Thanks

Hi Shulist,
Thank you for the reference to Canada's Telecommunications Hall of Fame in your Terry Matthews article. Indeed he is a Telecom Laureate. Which begs the question - will you be joining us November 4th for the Telecom Laureate Awards gala in the National Capital Region? There are some other Ontarians on our list - including Nexicom Group and Ciel Satellite who you might want to note...
PR and more info at http://www.telecomhall.ca/index.php
Let me know if you need any more info.
Cheers,
Joanne

Seems that an enterprising website is possibly ( we chose not to sign up to find out) selling the ultimate pet road warrior gear for old Rover. Choices, choices… Now does Rover get to call anyone he wants to? Does he need a data plan? Can he use the built-i [...]

Thanks for bringing clarity to much-abused terms. Stratus Technologies wages the same battle, having competed for 30 years in both enterprise computing and telecommunciations. Fault tolerance could be substituted for carrier best-in class, and high availability for acceptable class, with many of the same defiing features you suggest.
It is the second point on the .tel for individuals information on the front page of our website - the link explains how that is possible and achieved. Sorry if I wasn't clear in the first post.

There's no need to suspect anything - an individual has complete control over who sees what information through the ability to encrypt the contact information in the DNS and allocate who can see it through a friending mechanism. Further information is available on our developer website here: http://dev.telnic.org/docs/privacy.pdf

Therefore, a .tel domain provides even more protection from spammers whilst being able to share your contact information dynamically with whomever you want, reactively or proactively.

Regards,

Justin Hayward
Telnic
<hr />
Thanks for that update Justin. Perhaps that page should be more prominent on your website? Most interested parties would not think of drilling down the "developer' path. -->ed
